About the book

Having survived a childhood of poverty and abuse, Eugene Lassiter is now a craftsman of fine jewelry, living contentedly with his loving wife and daughter.  One summer evening, after presenting his child, Annabelle, with a delicate, silver charm, Eugene and his family become victims of a random act of violence.  Now, battered and bruised, this quiet, unassuming husband and father will be forced to face his past and his inner demons.
